2014 Anthem Washer

I have a 2014 Anthem. The other day went to wash some clothes, pushed and held the start button as usual, and nothing. No lights no error codes. Check the power receptacle and have power. Check the bottom filter, all ok. Tried to hold the door switch in and it appears to be functioning. According to the repair manual, if you unplug the power cord and plug it back in you should hear a click from the Central Control Board. I hear nothing. I’m guessing the board is bad.
My question, has anyone done this repair? I’ve tried to get the front panel off to access it, according to the repair manual, but can’t get it to come off. Do I have to remove the dryer from the top?

Any help appreciated

You have to remove the top. There are 3 screws in the back. Mine are stack and you guessed it, you have to remove the dryer. I built a stand to slide the dryer out on. Good luck. Hope it is something easy

Was afraid of that. I hope my son can help get the drier off the washer. Looks like you have to remove the closet doors and remove the top trim piece that has the door clasps. Hope we can get the dryer over the bracket that screws the two units together or else both the washer and dryer will have to come out attached.

Thanks

Have you tried resetting the board first? http://www.irv2.com/forums/f278/rese...ml#post3689231

Thanks Chuck, I'll try it, but its not responding to anything at this point. No error codes, no lights, acts like it's not plugged in.

I was hoping. I researched Whirlpool sites and found this from an appliance tech on how to check if the board is bad. before moving the machine. https://www.applianceblog.com/mainfo...0887#post30887

Many of us have had a problem with the safety latch needing to b adjusted by adding a few washers at the back of washer so it would start, I had the issue & just adjusted a friends washer.

Ouch, not another problem waiting to strike. Can you provide some details on where the washers were installed. Being prepared is the best way to ward off evil spirits.

Loosen the 2 screws holding latch base 1 at a time, keeping screw in place, add 2 small washer to screws then reattached base. The screws are used as a spacer pushing the base inward towards, the back of washer. More or less washers may b needed. Good luck

Chuck, haven’t attempted the washer removal yet, but will post my success (or failure) once I get to it. Have a couple of ideas that may or may not allow me to gain access to the control panel without having to remove the washer and dryer. I’ll let you know.
