2015 Anthem 44B Battery Recommendation
Does anyone have a recommendation on battery replacement for a 2015 Anthem 44B? I believe I need to replace my batteries. Thanks

I would put in anything but Discover AGM batteries. I have seen too many failures with these after only a few years.
If you are going to stick with AGM batteries look at Fullriver DC224-6 which should fit the height of the trays or go hog wild and get top of the line Lifeline GPL-4CT AGM batteries, but they are expensive.

Don is the battery expert on the forum. Agreeing with Don, my Discover batteries did not make it past the warranty period. They have been plugged in since I took possession of the coach, but did not make it 2.5 years from the date on the batteries.
I believe there was some mistreatment of the batteries at the factory, however the recovery rate of Discover Batteries seems to be very low. JMO
Don thanks for the recommendation on the Fullriver batteries. I bookmarked those yesterday, I liked what I read.

Any reason these batteries can not be added to the factory batteries? My Insignia has only two, totaling 390AH. I'd like to add capacity

Everything I've read about battery banks is to not mix types and brands. If say you had two batteries of Brand-X and two new batteries of Brand-Y added to the battery bank they take charges at different rates and will end up cooking one set of batteries or the other.

Good information. So my next question is can I add more that 780 AH ( 2 x 390) with four batteries? Lifeline offers several AH options

The best I see at Lifeline is the GPL-L16T which is a 400 AH battery so 4 of these will give you 800 AH. To get greater AH than that would require going to six 2 volt batteries.

Just as an FYI, I installed six Full River DC224 6 volt AGM's in 2013. They were abused by a shop 2 years ago (didn't follow my instructions to shut off house battery switch) but they are still going strong. When I need to replace them, I will check on pricing/availability of both Lifeline and Full River but would not hesitate to use Full River again.

4x400 = 1600, no?

With the 6v batteries when you put 2 together in series to get 12v the amps capacity remains the same. When you put 2 in parallel and keep the voltage at 6v then the amperage doubles.

Chuck,
I don't personally, but if they are built like their flooded batteries (T-105 for example) then they should be very good as well.
