Congratulations on the new CS. I have had mine for a couple of months and would just like to pipe in a bit on PDI's and afterwards.
Our PDI went very much like yours did. Everything went well and there were very few apparent problems. However, as time went on, a few issues popped up.
LD has been good about taking care of them, but it is time consuming.
If you have the time, let me make a suggestion. Make a service appointment with your dealer immediately for about 30 days after you get the coach. Use the coach as much as possible during that period. That should expose any "hidden" problems or at least most of them. That way, you have a spot reserved to get issues handled. If something pops up during the period, contact the dealer and let him know so that if parts are needed, they can have them ready. If everything is OK, you just cancel the appointment.
I did this and it helped a lot. I have an open service appointment
as well with Spartan when I attend the Spartan Academy on Aug 18 - 22 to handle anything with the chassis (so far - so good).
Like any other complicated piece of equipment, our Cornerstone has had a few issues. However, all in all, it is a fabulous coach!! We love it. I especially like the comments we get on it when will pull into a campground.
