2017 Aspire corner weights (seek opinions)

Seeking opinions on my corner weight report here. This is loaded with a full tank of diesel, full water tank and about 20% in each waste tank. I loaded the basement up with everything light weight in front and the heavy stuff to the rear. I loaded the basement trying to keep the weight as evenly distributed laterally as possible. Of course I had to WAG that as I didn't know the exact weight of everything, so I just eyeballed it as best I could.

All the axle weights look good. I'm surprised at how well within limits we are. What did catch my eye is the difference in each side of the drive axle. This report shows a difference of 1,400 pounds. Seems like a lot to me since I was careful to try and distribute the weight laterally. Also seems odd as the difference in weight between both sides of the tag and both sides of the steer are so close.

Thoughts on this are appreciated. Is this unusual?

Has your ride height especially on the drive axle been checked lately? If the ride height from one side to the other is off it can effect the side to side balance. If I remember right Spartan likes to see it within 1000lbs side to side.

Ride height has not been checked no. Just took delivery last month, but I guess you never know. Maybe I should call spartan and check with them on this?

I don't have my weights with me, but my 2015 Aspire is similarly skewed - the front axle is heavier on the left by several hundred pounds, while the drive is heavy on the right by 1400 and the tag by several hundred. It was within limits, and mostly due to the coach itself, so I just accepted it.

Weights are pretty vague until you establish the ride height is correct at each position.

That would be my next step.

New does not equate to correct, as you well know from your previous experience.

You are more likely to see issues, some more obvious than others, after production.

We had about the same difference after Entegra set the ride height and did the corner weights. They told us that the difference was normal and not an issue. We haven't had any problems.

DeeGee,
Do you notice it in the steering/handling or braking? Not saying you have issues.
Reason for asking is what Don brought up, seems if the relationship between ride height/alignment of tag-steer and front is off, you could have the same issues others have commented on both here and on SOB's recently.
Me? Don't know up from down....just a thought. Seems inter-related somehow.

2017 Aspire corner weights (seek opinions)

My ride height is low on back right. Will be adjusted at NIRVC 14 June. Hope it doesn't effect my current weights.

Ok sounds good. I will call spartan and discuss with them and get the ride height checked. You guys are on it. As good or better than the Tiffin folks.

Very similar to my Cornerstone 45B weights. I am a little heavier on drive and tag, ISX vs ISL likely. I am very pleased as the low air pressure required with those weights---steer-105 and 85 in drive and tag, allow for a very soft ride.

Some of the disparity could be the fresh water. Water was 8.34 lbs per gallon. Full on one side 20% on other, that could count for half of the of the weight differential.

I was wondering about that. I do not know how the tanks are arranged. I can see the water tank from the passenger side when I open the bay door in front of the tires, but I can also see it from the drivers side when I open the water bay door. It does, however look like most of the tank takes up the passenger side.

A big factor in those balances is; which side has the fridge, which side are the batteries?
