Ours is under a seat in the living room. We lost one pull out storage but not a problem. One of the pull out drawers was lost and the front is held on with heavy duty Velcro.

It's a Bose system and is not wireless.

May work for you, not sure your layout but may help you plan.

It fits perfectly behind the fireplace! Just remove the decorative trim and then there is 6 screws holding the fireplace in. Remove it place sub in the back corner and run the power wire straight up.

We have 18 Anthem 44B so I know it will fit in yours.

I think it sounds better in that location anyways.

Take care,

Jamie

Got the sub relocated, also brad nailed a small block to make sure it doesn't walk...
Works great...noticed the sound from the radio, sounds like crap, but direct Bluetooth to Bose sounds incredible..hoping the the new head unit fixes thatClick image for larger version

We were excited about the idea of putting the SW behind the fireplace, but it appears that it might block the TV when we lower it. That is a difference between the B and the Y.

Has anyone investigated this?

I have been into the fireplace and I don’t think you will find the room with the tv lift in the way.
It appears if you have a booth dinette, they don’t have room for the sub. We have the chair and table configuration and the sub is in the cabinet under the table. You might look behind the drawers of the booth to see if there is any space. Perhaps you could shorten one of the drawers in the booth.

There is some definite wasted space behind the drawers in the dinette...but some of steel tubes are too low to slide it back...small possibility if you unbolt the cushions, and drop it in?

Just had a thought, how about behind the sofa? There’s lots of space, 120volt and the sub is wireless.

Just looking from the outside the SW will not fit behind the fireplace in a Y, our TV is parallel with the outer wall, not angled as in some other floor plans. We have the dinette booth, our dealer is going to investigate putting it beneath a seat, behind the drawer. I’ll let you know how that works. They told me today they are getting lots of complaints about the SW, surely Entegra will step up and resolve the issue.

Surely there is a smaller, wireless SW out there.Behind the sofa would be an excellent location for a subwoofer.
