A/C thermostat miswired
On my new 2018 Anthem, I was having trouble heating / cooling the mid-cabin. The temps reported on the Vegatouch were always off a few degrees from what I expected and from what I measured with my infrared thermometer. I knew the measured temps on the VT could be off a few degrees and still be within tolerance, but sometimes they were off by more than just a few degrees, so I decided to investigate further.
I found the floor thermistor was wired to the mid-cabin AC, the mid-cabin thermistor was wired to the basement temp, and the basement thermistor was wired to the floor heat. The mis-wiring and resultant readings were not enough to be immediately obvious as they are closely related.
Turns out the wiring harness Entegra used was miswired, using the same color wire for 2 of these 3 thermistors.
After I performed some surgery behind the G6 panel, the problem is fixed. (BTW splicing the G6 is a good way to immerse yourself in a new coach).
I thought I'd mention it since its not an obvious problem - but if one harness is bad perhaps there's a batch that are miswired. Hopefully this is a one-off problem, but a hair dryer on the thermistors and a quick look at the VT temps if you're having any trouble will tell.
