A first for me in 25 years
I winterized the Travel Supreme today. It leaves Tues 12/17 for it's new home in Canada and the owner will be hitting some zero temps going home.
I did the air method and blew all of the lines, washer running the rinse cycle, both hot and cold, with air going through the lines, Blew out the ice-maker line, then did the jump wire to the solenoid to run air though the ice-maker. Even remembered the toilet sprayer hose and outside shower.
The water heater I drain and flush after ever trip and leave empty for the off season, so nothing to be done there.
I wasn't able to run "pink stuff" though the washing machine or the P traps... my local Walmart with 86 degree weather here does not stock it. He will have to pick some up on his way home to finish the job.
It has been a long time since I left CO and winterized a MH, but I guess it's like riding a bike, you don't forget.
One step closer to the Anthem.

I winterized mine last week, just before our ice storm. I used the clear hose, suction system but forgot about the washer, dishwasher, ice maker and fridge water dispenser. We got to low 20s so I hope all is all right in the coach!

I have an 11 year old TS with a NOcold refrigerator, not a residential. It will be intersting to see how the new residential refrig's winterize, but I know I won't use antifreeze. The ice maker should still be able to be blown by air, but I will have to see. If water can get in there, so should air pressure.
I am not an antifreeze in the water line type of person...I HATE flushing that stuff and trying to get rid of the taste. If there is a way to blow the lines with air, I will do it. It worked for 20 years in CO every winter with temps below zero. I like hearing air coming out of everything that holds water, no guess work if something was missed.
Blowing the residential refring ice maker can't be that much of a difference....the ice-maker in the NOcold is a Whirlpool residential that I changed over..
If it holds water, it has to be flushed, with air or antifreeze.
Vance, the appliance pumps are the weakest part with the thin plastic cases. I hope the 20 degree temps were only for a short time. It is easy to hook up a compressor set the 35 PSI and turn everything on, one at a time until air comes out.

Will do and will look forward to it. I drink Cabernet
Here is what I use to hook at the fresh water hose connection to connect the the air compressor. At WalMart in the RV Dept less than $3.00 CAMCO Blow Out Plug
I use one of these to clamp onto the blow out plug then set the compressor to 35 PSI output. Tire Chuck with Lock-On Lever
Walk around and turn everything on, both hot and cold until noting but air comes out.....done. Pour some pick stuff in the drains and your good to go. (in the old days we used green antifreeze) didn't know any better or "pink stuff" wasn't out yet.
In the washer, after the lines are blown using the rinse cycle, switching from hot to cold until air comes our, pour a 1/2 gallon of pink stuff in the tub and run the spin cycle. The pump and drain are now protected.
Glad I don't have to do this every year anymore, sometimes twice a year....I hunted alot using the MH.

I have all the accessories to include a 120 psi pancake compressor bought for my first MH purchased last March. I winterized it once, not sure how good a job I did.
DW just said she's ready to go get the coach and hit the road so looks like I will find out how I did on the Entegra pretty soon!

I'm confused about this comment. Your drain every trip? How long would you park it without draining?
I'm learning as I go. Does this make tank last longer?

We travel for four months at a time. When we get home the tank is drained and the hard water deposits flushed. It does make the tank last longer as minerals are not working against the aluminum tank. In addition you don't have 10 gallons of stinky water to go though the MH the next time you are ready to leave.

just a thought gang theoretically would the fridge be insulated from the cold just as it would from the heat when running. so bart if so the fridge should be perfectly fine just wondering though.

Johnny, it is the 1/4 inch ice maker line on the outside of the refrigerator that will freeze and split. If that ever happens, replace the line with copper tubing, it is much stronger, won't get hard and break with age and will withstand colder temps.
