Ac Dash Leak Fix
2 years ago I had my rv at the mothership to fix my dash ac and some other things. The hose fitting in the first picture started to leak where the hose and the fitting come together.
The reason for this hose fitting to fail is the hose goes over the top of the transmission and wraps around the side of the engine to tight. So Entegra cut the fitting off and put a new fitting on and made it even tighter. 2 years later I take it to the local truck shop to fix the dash ac and they find the fitting leaking again and tell me the hose is to tight around the engine. So we came up with this fix.
This is the fitting that leaked on the compressor.
The repair shop pulled the hose out from under the rv and put a coupler on it to make the hose longer so it wasn't wrapped tight around the engine.
The repair shop wire tied the two hose together and then tied them to the hose on the engine to take the downward pull of the hose out. Tonight Im going to put a larger wire tie on this area so it is stronger. Hope this helps. Ive seen other people with the same problem.

Hope that fixes it. Had mine worked on 2 years ago, and it has been better, but not what t should be. When I stop after driving a while, it will drip for a while up front, so it is probably freezing up. I plan to look around up on the firewall to see if anything needs cleaned out up there that might help.

Thanks for sharing that . My 14 had nothing but problem since new until a truck garage in MI replaced the compressor and dryer and went over the entire system. For the next 2 years it worked perfect. The 19 is about like the 14 was when new, not much. I have a feeling just out of warranty I'll be looking for a good truck shop again. Factory installation, in my cases, haven't been much.

That just sounds like regular condensation that comes out no freezing up.

Chuck - what truck shop in Michigan fixed yours? We will be heading up that way in another two weeks and would love to actually get ours fixed once and for all. Thanks, Lynn

Thanks good info. On my 2013 that fitting failed 3 times. On my 2017 had the first failure last fall. I also noted there is little to no slack in the hoses but the last repair shop had no interest in fixing that. In my case the metal part of the fitting cracked from stress...
