Have given it some thought, I am sure the wiring harnesses are in the steering column and all the connections are available in the radio. So all that’s needed is to obtain the right and left steering control switches. Cost??? Would be a safety addition. I will watch for further comments.

Great success! I completed the modification on my 2015 Aspire and it works great.
Attached is the wiring diagram for the SM321 controller, some of the attached documents indicate PN SM301 but it also applies to the SM321.
The part number for the SM321 connector is:
Housing: 770583-1 (AMP/TE Connectivity)
Terminal: 171639-1 (16-20AWG)
The steering wheel parts can be purchased from VIP and the socket housing and terminal pins from Allied Electronics. I used Belden 9841 for the LIN. Purchased the 3.5 mm male plug and the splitter for the “remote” input into the radio from Amazon. Please see the attached links for more information.

For those that ever have the opportunity to see Jose67 coach in person, you are in for a hugh WOW factor. He has done more upgrades like this that I ever thought was possible on an Aspire. An amazing talented person.

Excellent mod.... What was the cost for the switches from VIP...? How long did it take to do the mod....?
The switch pods and SM321 module including sales tax and shipping was $238.12. The socket and pins from Allied Electronics was ~$20.00. I used Belden 9841 wire that I had left over from another project.
