After a sunny day and if the batteries are fully charged my generator rarely comes on with the refrigerator and TV on.

The down side is the added weight on my front axle at 90 lbs ea = 360 lbs

Lifeline Batteries GPL-6CT,Four 6 volts = 600 amp hrs. $1,650 installed
Renogy Solar Power, (TIMES TWO) two 100 amp panels per20amp MPPT controller with remote MT-5 Tracer Meter.Total 400amp feeding the lifeline batteries. I installed the solar system connecting to the existing pre-wired two circuits installed by the factory.

Watts watts,

Solar panels are rated in watts.

400 watt X 13.5 = 29.6 amps

Unfortunately my coach did not come pre-wired for solar, so it is a more daunting task for me to install it.

All right just got home from upgrading my house batteries to some MONSTROUS Trojan L16H-AC's. Now I've more than doubled my Amp-hours to 870Ah!! Can't wait to go tailgating this weekend at the Final Four!

There's 4 of them and yes I'm using tie down straps since the factory nylon web straps are too short now. These puppies are 125 pounds each, sure don't want them tumbling out in a sharp left turn!!

We've got 4 8D's in our rig, going to have to replace them but boy are they expensive! The LifeLine's also require a different charging profile so I'd have to change that too. Might look at just some wet cell GC-2's and go with 8 of them but will need to rewire that battery area. Not a sealed area and there's room for 6 8D's or 12 GC-2's. The 8 GC-2's would have about the same amp hours and I got 10 years out of my last set but I would have to watch them for water level although adding mineral oil will pretty much stop that.

Holy smokes that's 500 lbs added to your front axle. If you make any of our rallies I'll be there with my scales corner weighing coaches

Welllllll, don't forget I replaced 4 batteries that weighted a cumulative 272 pounds...
So if the DW rides in the back I am still even on weight

Now you need the Flowrite battery watering system. It makes a simple and fast way of maintaining the level.

Those Trojans are awesome! I don't know about the chargers on the Entegra, but on the TS the battery charger amps would need to be increased.

Let us know how the improvement was
