Air Compressors

Hey Entegra owners! What model air compressors do you folks carry to air up your big 315 tires when you need 125#s in them?

The cheapest, most compact one, you can find that has a tank and can pump to 150psi. Mine came from Home Depot for $69 on sale. Works great and I even used it to power some nailers for a project away from the homestead.

I carry a Ridgid, twin tank 4.5 gal tank capacity. Air delivery is 4.9 SCFM @90 PSI. Max PSI 175. Weight 73 lbs. Bought at Home Depot, pumps up fast and works great.

Sears Craftsman. Size 12X10X4 inches. Goes to at least 15psi and says truck and SUV on the side. Runs off cigarette lighter. Had it for several years. Don't remember cost.

I carry a CO2 tank in the Jeep for airing up the tires after off-roading. Use same for the occasional need on the MH as well.

I thought we could use the onboard air compressor as long as it is in the air up mode....?

Don't think this will work if it only goes to 15psi.

You can sort-of make that work up to 100lb or so, which is fine for the mains and maybe the tag. I can't get enough air (at a high enough pressure) for my fronts. Of course, those are 365/70s, and if I'm at max load they need 120 or so.

Try it once and see. Takes forever, not to mention that you have to run the engine to do it. Somewhere along the process, you will decide to get a standalone compressor.

Husky Scout. 1.5 gal, 135psi. I think I would buy something a little beefier if I had to do it again.

I bought mine at Lowe's - 150 PSI - on sale. Pretty compact. I use a long extension cord to get to all the tires. It also comes in handy for bicycles etc.
