Air Conditioning leaking tons of condensation from the return vents.

MY AC has been intermittently dripping condensation from the return vents. It seems the AC is unable to remove the humidity fast enough. Which return vent it leaks from is determined by the "level" of the coach. We first noticed it dripping from behind the passenger seat while driving. Then behind the drivers seat. Tonight, after running fine all day we came home to a completely soaked bed. It soaked through the comforter and mattress pad foam pad right to the air bladder.
This is so upsetting.

Luckily, we are headed to NIRVC Wednesday for some other issues. I guess this just got bumped up on the priority list...

Ugh!

Somewhere there are likely drain lines. And they are clogged. On our Phaeton they exit at the right rear. Open the engine compartment and there they are.

Our drain lines in our prior coach had to be cleaned at least annually - more often when we were in areas with lots of debris (oak tree seeds, pine needles, etc.). They would blow them out with air but I don't know if they cleared from top or bottom. Also, if we did not have the back of the coach just a LITTLE bit lower in back, we would get drips on the bed. We always made sure we could see it drain after we leveled.

If your coach has the Coleman Mach 8 heat pumps, I believe they have sump pumps that remove the condensation. If that is the case, one of those may either be non functional or stopped up. Fixing those requires a trip to the roof.

One problem not mentioned is fan setting. If the fan is set on auto, change it to high. If you are in a high humidly area ( lots of experience here ) the AC unit can freeze up on auto causing vents to drip.

One more possibility, the foil tape used to seal the duct work has come loose and is allowing warm air to come in contact with cold air, this can cause a tremendous amount of condensation.

There is a drain in the front LH corner of the generator area, and 2 at the RH rear corner of the coach.

Check the ends of each drain as they get clogged.

Not intimately familiar with the newer style AC units, but assume they are similar to mine. When I've had the drains clog on my coach the condensate just overflowed the sump and leaked onto the roof. Suspect something more than a clogged drain if you are getting water inside the coach.

If water is coming into the coach that means either the blower compartment tray is filling for some reason and leaking into the supply ductwork, or the condensate drain line has a problem and is leaking into the coach via the return ductwork.

To see what is happening, from the roof remove the outer shroud, then remove the inner blower chamber cover exposing the ductwork and look for water.

Other possibility is the roof to AC unit seal is defective. If sump leaks onto roof it could flow under the AC unit thru the leaky seal and into the ductwork. In this case it would probably also leak when it rains.

Mine drips from the return vents, not the supply

Looks like it's a faulty condensation pump. Entegra has agreed to reimburse me for an on site repair. God I love this company. While these issues should never happen to a new coach, the service after the sale is extraordinary

If memory services correctly a few years ago DSL417 had the insulation either not installed correctly or came off the suction line coming out of the evaporator. That allowed condensation to drip into the ducting, from the exposed line, instead of going into the drain pan. That line is under the cover that goes over the squirrel cage fan and evaporator.
