Another Disappointment
We ordered our 2015 Anthem 44B 4 1/2 months ago, with a delivery date to LDs in Tampa of Oct 19th. We were told it may vary a day or two. We emailed our salesperson today to let him know we would be at LDs campground the end of next week. He emailed back that the delivery date has been moved back to Oct. 31st, which is very dissapointing, as we have made plans for the first part if Nov. to meet friends at a resort in South FL.
Since we ordered a 2012 Tiffin Phaeton in their new color in 2011, (our first motorhome) it is my only comparison. The Phaeton came in in less than 3 months, one day earlier than the delivery date, therefore we felt
over 4 months for th Anthem would be no problem.
Is this unusual, or th rule of thumb for Entegra?

These are huge complex machines. Made in a small factory by humans. I would say this is normal for any small business that is making big things from scratch. This isnt a ford assembly line churning out a car a minute. Sorry your plans got messed up though. It will be worth the wait.

It also could be lazy days fault. Delays in the prepping or acceptance of coaches, pdi's backed up, etc. Could be any kind of a delay. Maybe you can call entegra with your vin # and ask the status of your coach's location.

I'm always reminded of a old saying..........The preparation of fine food takes time - yours will be ready in a minute.
With a delivery date of late October you should be able to make your south Florida rendezvous in early November. Don't rush the preparation of fine food or a fine coach. When you receive it, you'll love it.

I wish that was all my delay was. Due to several weather delays in Indiana my delivery was delayed a month. Then LD with stacked up orders from the Tampa RV show could not deliver a coach in drivable condition and the MH had to be sent back to the factory...another 2 month delay. It could be a lot worse, been there done that.
Production delays happen. Vendors get behind in products...nobody in Indiana stocks much inventory anymore after getting caught with more than they could sell when the recession hit. Record sales hit (Hershey show) and vendors do not have the supply to keep up.
There is also a delivery driver shortage in Indiana, more MH being sold than drivers available for delivers. There could be a number of reason as it applies to your coach, but all are a fact of life and sorry to say, they do happen. It's not just Entegra, all manufactures in Indiana use the same suppliers.

Salesmen will tell you anything in order to get your order. Lies are the norm.
Over many, many years in business, I had one motto.
Under promise. Over produce.
I very, very rarely had an unhappy customer.
Sadly the RV business doesn't seem to accept that business approach.

With the huge demand for motorhomes right now there is a backlog at all of the mid level manufacturers. This includes Entegra, Tiffin, and Newmar. They are trying to ramp up production, but it takes time to increase the weekly output by even a few units a week.

Newmar is at 6 months now.. Hershey back logged everyone. And brisk sales across the nation. Its for that reason we will wait to order. We dont want to be in the rush to get out the door camp

You are correct it does take time, and if this coach is as good all round as our Phaeton has been we will be happy.

I wish you the best and hope it is truly JUST two weeks late. Our's was two months but our dealer owned about half of the delay. Sadly, I really don't think it matters to some dealers, these coaches are so popular that if you walk away someone else will take it.
