Allison Transmission is a separate company. Updates are handled by an Allison shop only. Very propitiatory.

Got an note from Entegra and Cummins on this recall. Interestingly, Cummins will supply the parts but we get to pay the labor???Estimated time 2.5 hours @ ???? How does it work that I have a top of the line motor with a 3 year warranty that has not expired has a recall that I am required to pay for the labor to fix it??
In addition, it must be done by June 2, 2017 or Cummins will not cover the parts either.
I have put a service appointment request onto Cummins last week on the internet. No response as of yet.
My confidence level in Cummins support is starting to get a bit shaky. I am going to contact the Cummins dealer in my area to try to get something scheduled as soon as possible. Will keep you all informed.

Ralph,
I would check this out with Cummins as the engine has a 5 year warranty.

Only on the first owner, second or later owners are not covered from what Cummins has told me.

Do you know he's not the first owner, I don't.
Ralph,
If you can't get anywhere with Cummins call Spartan at 1 800 543 4277 and ask for Scott Wixson.

I am the second owner of a coach and Cummings engine. I had a problem last summer and they honored the 5 year warranty... There was a $100 deductible, as I was in the last year of warranty, but everything else was covered.

Ralph, I don't know if this fits your situation, but I had a voluntary recall on the fuel filter on my previous MH. The fuel filter was located in an impossible to get to location. If I wanted it moved to the front of the engine, they paid parts, I had to pay labor as I was the second owner. I also thought it was strange, but worth it to me.
