Another NIRVC Story

I am one of those who have drunk the NIRVC Kool-Ade, but I want to pass on another story for a new feather in their collective cap.

We have a traveling buddy who had a stroke about 2 months ago. He has a 2018 Cornerstone from another dealer. He is progressing well but it will be at least a year before he can drive it again and it hadn’t moved all winter so probably 18 months of sitting which as we all know would be terrible for the coach, not to mention the hit on resale value.

More importantly, he and especially his wife didn’t need the coach hanging over their head. I approached Brett who was, as I expected, totally sympathetic and in sync. He turned us over to Angie Morrell and Chuck Lasley who stepped up to the plate and worked with the couple to get to a plan that worked. (Their original dealer had said no thanks.) Originally I had thought that they might consign, but Angie said it would simpler and easier for them to just do an outright sale. They’d be able to move on to worry about his health without on-going questions about offers, etc,. It probably left some money on the table for our friends but it is clean and done. Sometimes money is secondary. NIRVC is also picking up the coach and it is a load off their minds.

NIRVC says they want to treat us like family and in at least this case, they walked the talk.

Nice share Emerson. It is service like that that will keep NIRVC at the top for dealer service. Just on this forum alone, look at all the purchasers that have switched to NIRVC.

Cheryl and Emerson

I read your story and was not surprised because Brett and Angie are fine people and will do what they can do. They are people who will do what they can do.... Nice story.

Stories like that must be why Jayco sued them. Don't want that kind of attitude infecting the other dealers.

Probably not too much to worry about. You can't take kindness and class to the bank.

Salty:

I kindly disagree. Ultimately you can take kindness and class to the bank.
Angie and Brett are outstanding examples.

Very inspiring story, Emerson – thanks for posting it.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again here. If there is a more genuine person on earth than Angie Morell, I have yet to meet him or her. Brett, Chuck, and numerous others who make up the NIRVC team are equally deserving of that level of admiration.

I’ve purchased a lot of motorized vehicles in my life – cars, boats, motorcycles, motorhomes, you name it. Before I met Brett and Angie, my loyalty to any given dealership was somewhere south of zero: “Give me a good price, here’s the check, probably won’t see you later.”

Now, coming up on two years since Amy & I met these fine folks, I’d have a hard time doing business anywhere else.

No need to disagree - you are of course correct, but I was talking about those with short-term focus. "Buy right now, give me a check and let me move on. Best of luck with service."

Definitely not the NIRVC model. Also I don't get the impression that Brett and his team are all about $$. IMHO - the best business people take the long view rather than trying to milk each transaction.

Isn't their motto something like: "Building customers for life" and "We do it all!" What a radical idea!

If it isn't exact, it is close.

Larry, I think you're right! These folks are building loyalty the old fashion way. Most dealerships or manufactures count on discounts, gimmicks or empty promises to build a following. NIRV is building loyalty that could goes further than the brand. With hard earned trust, NIRV can count on keeping customers regardless of what they sell.

Now all that needs to happen is for Brett to start building coaches.

At the next hiccup in the economy, I’d expect him to start shopping.
