Another outside radio switch question

Has anybody else had this problem with the outside radio speaker switch? When using the dash radio on the outside speakers they sound really bad, cracking, vibrating like the dash radio is too powerful for the outside speakers. The outside speakers work fine with the outside radio.

I posted a similar question yesterday about the volume not being loud enough. I was told to use the "fade" setting to push more volume to the outside speakers. I tried that yesterday, and it worked fine after that. Have you tried adjusting the fader to see if that helps?

Don't have enough experience yet to say for sure, but the first time I used the outside speakers was thru the "Outside Speaker Switch" from the front radio - I made a note in my to-do list that one of the outside speakers was blown, sounding just like you describe yours. Not too loud, just distorted. I've blown out speakers back in the day and it sounded just the same as that. Will do some more testing, but it'll be awhile.

I'm tempted to remove the outside entertainment system and turn it into a liquor cabinet. We don't watch tv outside and I don't think we'll listen to music.

Use the fader switch on the dash radio to send audio to the "rear speakers" = "outside speakers". Do NOT turn on the outside radio on any setting, as it will cause interference.

Thanks for the help. I tried using the fade and balance on the dash radio but it does not help. If I remove all the bass the speakers do not distort as much but even at low volume they sound bad. I do this with the outside radio off as not to create any interference. Sounds like a blow speaker but when I use the outside radio it sounds fine. Next is to call to CS.

I had same problem. Solution = make sure outside radio is completely turned off! Not on standby, but off. Works beautifully now.
