Another Sanicon lesson learned

2018 Entegra Cornerstone 45X. Only used the the Sanicon macerator hose several times to pump out tanks. When I dumped I only pulled out part of the hose from the compartment to reach the dump pipe. Everything worked great.

Had to go to Middlebury last week for some work. The day before Middlebury we decided to dump the tanks and fill with water since only electricity is available at the Entegra sites. Got all hooked up and turned on the macerator. NO flow. It was 10 degrees outside and had been down to zero degrees the night before.

Investigation revealed that the remaining macerator hose coiled up in the compartment was frozen. Apparently it had never been totally drained because I had never pulled the drain hose all the way out. Thirty minutes with my wife's hair dryer blowing into the compartment thawed the hose and I completed the dump. I immediately installed a small portable heater. Lesson learned.

On another note, we are at Spartan to find a air leak in the rear bags.

Two observations: One, we do not like to travel in freezing and snowy weather even if the roads are clear. Two, it is easy to get service appointments because no body is this stupid to come here this time of year.
