Another water leak
I would like to know if anyone hear has any ideas or suggestions about our dilemma. We have had a couple of major leaks since purchasing our 2014 Aspire 44B about 4 months ago. We spent a lot of time cleaning up those messes. We were not happy. Now we have a leak that has turned into a nightmare. Every since we bought he coach my wife said she could hear a drip occasionally. She heard it in the bedroom and bathroom. We would occasionally see some water on the tile in the bedroom beside the bed. It was not enough to even tell where it was coming from. I could find no leaks underneath. I checked the shower since it was close, but could never find any kind of leak or anything. A couple weeks ago, I noticed water dripping from the left rear corner of the coach above the radiator. That is below the closet where the washer and dryer are. I took the coach into the dealership to have them fix it. After 1 week they have not been able to determine where exactly the leak is coming from. They asked Entegra for help early on, but we are starting week 2 with no end in sight. The dealer seems to be waiting on guidance from Entegra. I had contacted CS earlier in the week, then emailed Joyce to try to get them on the ball. It is so frustrating to just see nothing being accomplished. I think they are all baffled where it might be coming from. To make matters worse, we sold our house in April then shortly after traded for the new Aspire. We are staying in the coach now full time. I still have a couple months of work left before I retire and we can start traveling. We thought this would be a simple repair and would only be a couple of days, so we have been staying in a motel. Now we are worried this could be a long drawn out ordeal. DW is convinced we have a lemon, she is not happy. It is of course my fault since I chose Entegra.

Are you sure it's not the drain for the AC? I know my drain is in that corner of the back.. I know the tube runs down the wall in my bathroom and I can hear it dripping after the AC runs.. You may be chasing a phantom leak.. Double check before you rack your brain..
P.S. the way I figured it all out, I went on the roof, opened the shroud and pourd a glass of water in the inlet, fire up the AC tu turn the pump on and you'll have your answer.

With the multiple problems I have had with my Entegra.... I experienced a similar leak after returning to the factory to pickup my Anthem after it was sent back for being in terrible delivery condition.
When arriving at Entegra and spending the first night in the MH after Entegra had the MH for 2 months I saw a leak under the washer and dryer. It turned out to be a loose washing machine hose or faucet. Two months at the factory for a "complete" PDI and it was not discovered.
From my experience, have the washing machine hoses, connections and washing machine itself checked. That is where my leak was that nobody detected.
There is a drain tube that comes off of the washing machine pan. If the pan overflows, it will show on the floor of the MH.
Turn the city water off, fill the tank and turn the pump on. Listen to how often the pump cycles will give you an indication of how bad the leak is.

Chuck,
My washer also leaked. My washer drain pan has an overflow tube that runs down the back PS engine compartment. The pan never overflowed all water was discharged thru the drain tube thank goodness.
I also had my power steering finely upgraded last week at a fairly local Spartan dealer. What a difference. Thanks for the heads up in April.

You are welcome Peter. It seems if there is a problem to be worked out on an Entegra..it will be on mine. I will continue to pass on the fixes as they continue. There seems to be no end, the dash air quit today and the new rear end is howling again.

My drain for the rear AC is in the other corner.

Been there, got the T-shirt. The washer was one of my other leaks. One of the hoses was tightened too much at the factory and it cut the rubber washer. Unfortunately my drain pan did not drain, water ran over the drain pan and soaked the rear of the coach. I did not catch it for almost a month. I assumed the water under the rear of the coach was from the ACs. I decided to check fluids in the engine one day and noticed water dripping through floor. It had soaked the rear of closet but we never noticed it in bathroom. Had to empty the closet, pull the engine hatch loose and dry the rear of the coach out. I removed the duckbill that kept the pan from draining. Now I will have to keep an eye on it to make sure it don't get clogged.

I almost forgot. We were always on city water when it was leaking. I took it to the dealer and the tech called me the next day and said he could find no leaks. He left the pump going all day and overnight and found no leaks. I told him I was always on city water and to try hooking up to hydrant. It started leaking a little later.

I see you have been there too. Kind of a pain that they cannot install washing machine hoses correctly at Entegra. It's NOT that hard. I sure hope the new PDI dept can leak test the darn things before delivering a coach with damaging leaks.

Yes that is so frustrating. How hard would it be to pressure test the plumbing system before it left the factory? It would be way cheaper than doing expensive repairs and clean ups.

Not to rub salt in a wound but on my 14 Anthem I had an intermittent leak on the back of the Aqua Hot around the engine heater hose connection that warms the house water. Not the same as an Aspire but the point is it was caused by one of the $.05 spring close hose clamps. The tech at Entegra was aware of some leak problems caused by those clamps and recommended I replace them with some good old sturdy radiator clamps that are correctly sized. Ask the tech if those washer hoses have the cheapo spring clamps or perhaps they have the PEX pinch clamps and they were not pinched enough and they leak under pressure. One customer said Entegra told them they test the water system to 60 psi and the water pump only puts out around 30-35 psi.

Dave, I wish that were true, or maybe mine missed that stage. I had a leak under the kitchen sink as well as the laundry hose leaking upon delivery.

Chuck, I was at LD and wrote you at Lazy Days when you were picking up your unit and have read ever since, what a trip you have had, as I did with a new Tiffin. Better luck to you, and the rear end issues. Keep us informed on the rear end noise. Also hope you folks find these leaks, I will be reading.

Motor Home Specialists have been working on my leak for almost 2 weeks now. They can not pinpoint where it is coming from nor can they even determine what system is leaking. They think maybe Aquahot, maybe something else. Their communications is practically non-existant. I have to make numerous calls just to talk to a service advisor. They never answer the phone and never return voice mail. Their sales dept. was great, but service department sucks. I finally got the service advisor to admit that this repair was beyond their capabilities. I figured that out a week ago. Now I am stuck waiting for them and Entegra to decide what to do next. Looks like it will need to go back to the factory. Anyone else have any experience with having to send their coach back to the factory for repairs? Not sure if they will transport it for me or if I will have to take it myself.
