Anthem Hitch Height

Can anyone give me the receiver hitch height off the ground for 2014 Anthem? Not sure the year 2013 or 2014) makes much difference.

Would like to know how much of a drop down (if any) I might need when pulling a car trailer behind me.

Thanks,

Curt

I'd suggest you contact Anthem or wait until you get the RV and measure. Be aware that using a drop down receiver can reduce the capacity of tow rating because of the right angle leverage it creates. The drop hitch also can be an issue in driveway entrances or sharp elevation changes because of the distance between rear axle and hitch point. Try to use as little drop as possible.

Hitch height

Curt

The height is real hard to figure until you have your Anthem aired up and loaded with your towbar. There are many posts about towing but you want your towbar to be as level as possible and no more than 4 inches different than your hitch. They do make drop hitches that have bolt patterns for adjustable drop but the less parts you use on the hitch the better it will be.

Ok thanks for the information. I did not know the hitch height varied that much. I will wait.

Thanks for taking the time to measure and provide that information here.

No worries, I actually measured 6 months ago for myself and ended up posting it in a different post. Don't forget to use the search function as many topics come and go over time.
