Anthem owners

Can you tell me if there is a (3/16th) hole in the skylight over the tiled shower for venting.

Thanks so much.. I saw sunlight through it.. Thought there might be a protective film over the skylight! The service guy put the tip of his key through it to show it was a hole. Thank you for telling me it was legit!

I am not an engineer.. But it seems a little primitive to me.. Our overhead fan did not work for first two months.. The hole may have saved the day...many thanks!

Where is it exactly, I don't think I have this hole. A picture would be great.

Very hard to get a picture. It is in the out skin (double shell) of the shower dome. It is small and hard to see but I suspect they all have one to prevent fogging.

Are you saying you have a 3/16" hole in the outer skin of your skylight? If that is so, what keeps water from getting into the hole and collecting between the outer and inner lining? Perhaps I misunderstood.

I THINK it is smaller than 3/16 and is on a curved surface but yes a hole in outer not inner shell and makes little sense but even the hardest rain and have seen no water come in it.

It must be one of those one-way holes.

Thank you everyone.. The hole is supposed to be there..on the inner dome.. Most likely to vent steam. The dealer never saw one before. We have another hole to deal with! We have a coach that rains inside, and after having the door adjusted 3 times, the awning was looked at. This huge hole under the over door awning unit was allowing the rain to be channeled to the inside over door ledge, through all the electrical components and shades. Spartan is taking care of this for the last week and have made the hole smaller and waterproofed..Click image for larger version

My skylight over the shower did NOT have a vent hole and with the cooler weather the outside bubble was caving in. After drilling a small hole on the inside the bubble on the outside re-inflated.
