Good luck with the water. You may want to call Entegra about the TSB. Take a look at my response. When our duck bill clogged, the slide motor was submerged in water and eventually quit...The TSB was installed to prevent water from entering the hole where the shaft entered...

You can get to the motor by raising the PS rear jack and if you are skinny and if you are limber and if you don't mind getting a little dirty.

Would you need to support the bus in case the jack suddenly dropped?

Paul,
I read thru your post half asleep I guess.
When I first saw this design I thought WTH, how did that get through! I'm getting ahold of CS tomorrow. You see any reason an owner couldn't do the TSB?
Thanks
Mark

This can be done if you can get into the wheel well safely. I would also suggest changing the motor IF it came into contact with water, ours did and didn't take long before it stopped working. As I said, when the tech dropped the cover where the motor is a lot of water came out, I watched it. The duck bill was completely blocked because all kinds of junk either came in or was still there from manufacturing or both.
Once the TSB and motor were done, I then sealed everything up. Everything got expandable foam and then caulking. Once that setup, I then sprayed everything with a good undercoating spray and I think now I should not have any more issues.

Okay, I have a new (one month old) Anthem. Where do I check this "duck bill" and if its clear do I assume no water problem? Do you check it after every rain?

Thanks for the tip on the slide issue. We have a 14 Aspire and have had no slide issues but now, I know where to check if an issue come up.

Absolutely. You would be crushed if that hydraulic leveling jack blew a hose. You can put a block, probably about 11-12 inches tall under the chassis right beside the drive wheel after you have the jack extended.

Yes that would be safest. Bad things can happen otherwise.
I confess to livin' on the wild side occasionally.
