Aqua-Hot heating

does the Aqua-Hot, with the electric switch only in the on position, work to heat the coach? or does the diesel switch need to be on for heating?

I use electric unless it's real cold. Next time I will take some ambient and register temps. My diesel burner produces some hot heat

The Aqua-Hot will heat both coach and water in the electric-only position, but its ability to heat on electric-only is quite limited. You can use it to take a quick shower but a long shower requires diesel heat. Likewise, you can use electric to take the chill off the coach if the temperatures are in the 50's or 60's, but if temps are below the low 50's you will need diesel heat (or heat pumps, which work well down to about 40 degrees, but poorly when it gets into the 30's or below). For maximum heating capacity use diesel, and augment it with electric if AC is available.

When in a campground, we find that the electric with the heat pumps and the front fireplace/electric heater. Works into the thirties....20s it is time for diesel assist, for sure.
