Aqua Hot on Aspire and Heating the coach
I think with all this cold weather my brain has frozen! Can someone remind me if on the Aspire (ours is a 2012 model) if the furnace setting on the thermostat controls the Aqua Hot unit or if I also have to flip the burner switches located in the bathroom? I know the little white thermostat controls floor heating... My wife shut off the gas burner switch last night and we awoke to a very cold coach. I flipped it on about 10 minutes ago and now the coach is warming up.
Thanks.
Signed,
Shivering in Northern Florida and about to head further north - yikes!

We have 2014, so not sure it is the same but, with ours you need the gas on. It is zone 2 on ours. Hope this helps. Keep warm. Karen

On my 2013 Aspire you must have any zone on heat (furnace?) , set Thermo where you want, and have Electric Heater or Burner /probably both to heat the Aqua Hot. Zone 2 must be on a heat source and the white thermostat on for floor heat.

Thanks. So in other words just setting the zones on the main climate control to furnace is not enough. I have to turn on the burner via the switch that (in our 2012 Aspire) has a double switch that says under one "Electric" and under the other "Burner"?
Thanks again.
Stuart

On the Aqua Hot panel we have both electric and burner flipped on - nice and toasty. The dealer told us we should use one or the other but in the manual I read you can use both. Can anyone tell me if Zone two is only the floor or is it both the floor and the coach?

Zone 2 is floor only...at least for 2013 forward.

Thanks. Here's another question/situation that's getting me concerned... On Saturday I'm heading to Nashville for a trade show on Monday-Wednesday. Daytime highs in Nashville will be 10-15F on Monday and lows around 5F. OUCH! How feasible is this weather for using the coach? Technically I know the coach can handle it but:
1) I'll have no access to water replenishment for 3 days with such extreme temperatures.
2) Since I'm running a propane Aqua Hot I'll be going through gas like crazy!
Have any of you dealt with this kind situation before? Is it worth fighting the elements AND trying to work a tradeshow during the day or should I just "throw in the towel", safely store the coach for 3 days, and get a hotel room?
Thanks for any opinions on this!

Except that in electric heat (heat pump) mode, zone two controls the center heat pump on those so equipped.

Not an Aspire but it sounds like we have a similar setup. We've only been in temp down to mid to upper 20s but between the electric heated floors (set at 80), the fireplace, and the AquaHot set on electric only it will keep the coach at 72-73 degrees easily. We usually keep the bedroom a few degrees cooler. The only time we need to use the diesel burner is for taking showers. The electric is sufficient for normal use like the dish washer, cleaning, hand washing, etc.
One correction, we did have to use the diesel burner once with the AquaHot when the temp got down to lower 20s with some pretty brisk winds.

Personally in that situation, you'll have enough on your mind. Stay in a hotel.

Marc, what do you mean " Except that in electric heat (heat pump) mode"?

Can anyone tell me about the AH fluid for a 2013 Aspire?
Pink or green?

When I ask Jacob last week, he said makes no difference and you can mix the two. He did say that if you get a concentrate, to absolutely mix it to 50% with water as they do when they condition the coach.
