Aqua-Hot Transfer Fluid PH?

Don't know why I never noticed this before but while I was servicing our Aqua-Hot I noticed on the bottle of Century fluid that it says to check the PH of the transfer fluid every six months. Question? Has anyone ever did this? How did you do it? And what should the PH be?

You could check it with pool testing strips.
"The pH of the Boiler antifreeze should remain between 7.5 and 9.3; if it tests lower than 7.5, galvanic corrosion may be accelerated."

Darin Hathaway (MR. AQUA-HOT) serviced ours this Sept. He told me for the next year only add distilled water as my pH was off. I'll get the strips and keep up with it.

You can also get a digital ph meter for under $15 on Amazon. If you go that route you may also want to pick up some calibration fluid. While you're at it pick up an inexpensive (less than $20) refractometer to test your antifreeze concentration.
