That's an interesting approach.Curious where this idea came from (albeit a little off topic, or maybe not). We all have these big gaps.

In my original post when I spoke of two piece shades I meant the kind that are split down the center. One advantage was that you could lower one side to block the sun kind of like the sun visor in your car.

So are you saying that the day shade is now split down the center and the same with the night shade?
YES! The 2014's are going back to the split shades. Four total in the front.

Dave, we figured it out all on our own. Works great too.

Apparently they have gone back to the united shades in front and abandoned the MCD shades entirely again. Entegra is the only major Motorhome manufacturer that seemingly refuses to acknowledge and use the superior MCD shades thought the coach. We have had both in our Entegras and VASTLY prefer the MCD shades for a variety of reasons. The main two are the much broader programming options and the one piece shade in the cockpit, it provides far better privacy and light blocking than the two piece united shade. I really hate to see this move by Entegra, it does not mesh with their usually uncompromising stance on using the highest quality materials available. Maybe Cruzer will weigh in on this topic with his broad industry experience.

we have the single day shade and single night shade. One advantage of the split shade would be for the dog's comfort. We could keep driver's side down all the way and avoid as much sun when dog sits up on dash by door. Right now we have to raise the whole thing to half mast to he can see where his "people" have gone and do sentry duty.
