Aspires built on FCCC chassis ???

I noticed two recalls shown on page 16 of the October 16 FMCA magazine regarding "Aspire and Aspire TK" motorhomes built on Freightliner chassis. Several other brands have similar recalls.

I thought EC used Spartan chassis exclusively, and I don't know what "Aspire TK" even means.

Thinking this must be an FMCA typo, I searched the NHTSA website and found the recalls there, too.

Does anybody here have an EC on a Freightliner?

There are some Aspire's and Insignia's from 2009-2012 that are Freightliners.

I believe the 2012 Aspire was built on a Freightliner chassis.

These two recalls are for coaches built from July 2014 thru January 2016.

Anybody ever hear of an "Aspire TK"

It is the single axle 38' coach. Probably not many out there.

I own a 2015 Aspire 39E that was built on a Frieghtliner chassis. It was MSRP lower than the Aspires with Spartan chassis. I would really like to know what the marketing strategy was when they came out?? I believe it was intended to capture and compete with some of the Newmar and Tiffins. I must say that some of the amenities and specifications were upgraded to draw buyers. I did months of research (thanks to this forum) but I am very happy to be in a new coach with all the Entegra craftmenship and a 2 year warranty at the price I paid!!!
Yours truly, the red headed step brother of the Bontrager family
