Audible Warning Voice

So yesterday on our return trip home from short vacation, coming down Hwy 101, with a 3/4 tank of fuel and very little water in tank, holding tanks empty, I got an audible warning "RV weight violation". What the heck was this all about? Trucks travel this route often. It couldn't have been me.

In the RV info screen of your dash gps there is a setting for your weight and length etc. My guess is that the weight is set excessively high and giving a warning.

I believe that means that on the route you are choosing there is a road/bridge/place that has a weight restriction and you are in excess. It seems like it will go off even if you are not intending to use that road/bridge/place, but even if you could if you so chose.

Mine does that all the time if I get off an Interstate, which I do often. I hit ignore and continue on. I think the Rand McNally is programmed for Interstate travel only. The RM does not understand "Scenic Highways".
