Auto Genset
Yep, been there! Turn the coach gnution on then back off and you can set the auto gen start. If you leave it on for 30 days it will revert to that message again. Not sure why Entegra programmed it that way, something about safety but mostly a PIA JMHO

The controller uses a safety, in our case the ignition switch. As mentioned, if it doesn’t sense an ignition cycle, it will prompt you.
Another (somewhat annoying) thing related to this, is that when the AGS fires up the generator, starting the engine will kill the generator.

Nothing seems to work
I have tried as suggested to turn ignition on and then off even to the point of starting the engine and it still reflects ingition on/off . Just does not see to be working.
Any ideas?

Reset the 12 volt power, switch by the door. Then run through the process again.

If it still won't work after trying all of these things .... go look at the fuse under the drivers seat outside. Mine used to do that all the time and would blow that fuse. After replacing the fuse, if it continues to blow it, you will need to get a new controller. Been there, done that and chased that puppy for 2 years until I finally replaced the controller!

You don't say what year your coach is. Very important for correct and helpful answers.
Lynn is correct, the 14 and 15 coaches had a batch of defective and mis-programmed Command 30's from Cummins, auto gen start was one of the problems. Mine also had to be reprogrammed, then replaced, but never lost power to the unit. If you fall into those years, you can check with Cummins/Onan in Elkhart with your software version.

Ya'll are a different animal than our classics ... so, you might not have the same fuse box. I understand most of the newer coaches are breakers instead. Best bet is to call Entegra Customer Service and I'm sure they can help you out.

Something that is easy to try is to remove the Command 30 head and unplug it to reset it. The front is magnetic and will pop off with a fingernail. Remove the 2 screws and the head comes off. Unplug it for a minute and see if that will work. If not, make the phone calls if you are pushing the correct buttons in the owners manual.

The EC-30 is asking for the safety feature to be tested but if the sense wire for the ignition is not hooked up or if the safety feature is set to park brake or something else then it will not work. I heard for a short time that Entegra programmed the safety sense to the park brake which turned out to be a disaster.

Got it
Thank for all your suggestions, had to switch safety to brake and cycle the parking brake a couple of times and it finally allowed me to set up the auto gen.
Almost screwed up, after cycling the parking brake a couple realized I did not have any air left in the coach and when I started it to pump up the air, it started rolling forward when the jacks came up. My car was 4 ft in front of the coach, got kind of puckered until the air came up.
Thanks for all your help, as you can tell I am a newbie at owning a coach.
