Rain vs awning

Johnny. Do you mean like this?

I told the dealer to adjust mine down before I picked it up.

Yep, they can be adjusted downward...I just couldn't understand and execute the instructions, so I pull in after a little rain to drain.

There should be a tool about 8" long (black). It is inserted into a hex hole somewhere around the motor and twisted. 1/4 turn equates to an inch lower or higher when the awning is fully extended. I have yet to find the hex receptacle.

Since it was an Aspire it is a mechanical setting squeezing a couple push pins and sliding the the support arm vertically down to lower the outer edge. You can pitch them to one end to run the water more to the back or front if desired.

To adjust the awnings down for the Anthem requires an adjustment at each arm. It can be done by running the awnings out a couple of feet doing it by yourself or someone to push up an the bottom edge, to take the weight off, if you extend them all the way out. Each arm needs to be adjusted the same amount to keep them even. The adjustment at the motor only adjust how far in or out they run, but does nothing for the angle to get rid of the water.
To adjust the arms requires a wrench to loosen the bolt on the arm and another to turn the adjustment. I believe they are 3/4 or 7/8.
Also be aware you can adjust them down far enough that the front awning can hit the top of the pass. side living room slide as it extends. Noel

Yes they can. If you have a Anthem each awning has a sensor. You need to unscrew and remove the top of each box ( one for each awning) and there is sensitivity adjustments. Just had it done at Precision.
