Bad Radiator???

I have a 2015 Anthem and seem to have a leak from my radiator. I will be at Spartan next week and have it checked. This is from the era where there were a number of bad radiators. We are now out of warranty, of course. Has any one had any experience with this issue, did anyone step up with help or were you on your own ? By the way we only have about 15,000 some miles on the rig and it is regularly maintained. Thanks for your comments, advice or whatever you have to add.

That is the period of the bad radiators. The improved radiators were released 11/16. The post have run about 50/50 for those that received help and those that did not. Might want to search the forum for posts that received help and what they did. Sorry you are in our replacement group, some are double members.

Mine replaced a month before warranty expired a year and a half ago. Still looking good.

2 under warranty. Third I had to pay labor. Sold (2014 Cornerstone) before needing the fourth.

What most are not telling you (except Brobox pointing you in the right direction) is that there is a lot of data up on this forum about the problem and how Spartan has handled the problem.

If you are out of warranty, I have heard of two different scenarios....

The first is that owners have brought the issue up to Spartan and had a straightforward, non-accusatory discussion with Spartan. It seems that many have then had Spartan agree to pay for the radiator and provide its replacement, but you are expected to pay for the installation. There has been discussion of the installation. I have had 2 replaced and both were replaced by dropping them down out of the coach (not out through the louvered area). Time has varied from 4 hours to 8 hours. My experience is that it can be done in 4-6 hours.

The second scenario is that owners get understandably hot with Spartan and Spartan ends up not offering them anything. It is understandable that they are frustrated, but my advice is keep a cool head...

They will tell you to go to a Spartan authorized dealer and get it checked. The definitive check is a pressure check. Then, they may offer to replace your radiator... they may not.

Good luck.

Gary

Just did mine at 19K miles. Radiator $1400 plus shipping and Spartan says 6-8 shop hours to install. Kept my old one to have repaired for spare!! No help from Spartan.
