Larry, you may have to pull the cover off. Mine was jammed due to the cover. And also I believe left is on. Backwards from what you would think. Good luck Happy Trails see you when you get home.

Roger, I looked in under the cover and there is a plastic pin to stop it from going to on position on the left

It will go to the left you have to push really hard the first time.

On my classic Anthem (2015) the thermostat is off to the left and “on” to the right. I could not get the lever to move to on the first time and had to use the handle of a screwdriver to push it hard enough to move the lever. It doesn’t get much better over time. Each time is a hard push.

Newer coaches may work differently but for my coach, left is definitely off and right is “on”

twist don't just push it

There is a bit of a technique to operating the basement thermostat switch. If you just push the lever on or off it is very difficult to get it to move. Instead of just pushing sideways at the top of the switch lever try this:

Grasp the lever sticking up firmly on both sides and twist it in the direction you want it to go. If it is OFF and you want to turn it ON grasp the lever with your thumb on the left side and fore finger on the right side. Squeeze the lever firmly and push up and to the right with your thumb. Push down and to the left with your forefinger.

Imagine the lever is pivoting at the point it exits the housing and that you are trying to turn it around that imaginary pivot point. Just like if you were trying to tighten a screw with a coin.

By applying some force at the top of the lever and opposite direction force at the bottom with the twisiting motion the lever pops back and forth easily.

This is weird so I guess I will try to force it in AM, and hope it works.

It’s a good topic for replacing the current thermostat with something else that works better and easier to read/control.

Let us know what you come up with. I got mine on but the temperature control stinks and I had an issue getting it to turn off

Seems like I had to press in and then to the left on our 2013. Several bruised fingers along the way

I had a similar thermostat on a previous coach and replaced it with a digital readout unit that was easier to operate. Has anyone done that to their Entegra?
