Bathroom floor very hot

I 'assume' bathroom floor, over engine compartment, is supposed to warm up on a 4-5 hour trip? But, it kind of shocked me when I went back there after a trip. It's Not warm............it's Hot!

Had some clothes, blue jeans, etc. fall on the floor and when I picked them up they felt like they'd been in a dryer for an hour. Hot, Not warm.

Figured there would be better insulation in that area above the engine, but..oh well.

Just asking if this is to be expected.

Thanks.

After an 8 hour drive, the back backroom on my 44B is certainly warm, but in no way would I describe it as hot. I have never thought that I needed to take the temperature there, but would not want to try to take a nap in there as soon as we stop (the bathroom temp, not the bedroom). Our cats love to go into the back closet after a long drive so I don't think that it hot.... just warm. Maybe others will comment.

I mean the bathroom 'floor' is hot, not the room.
I know the bedroom will heat up if I'm not running the generator/AC going down the road, but it is the bath floor that I am wondering about.
Thanks

I am also talking about the floor being warm, making the room warm, and my cats would not be sleeping or walking across a very hot floor, so I would also think that a good thorough look at the exhaust system to make sure that you dont have a separation or leak somewhere is a good idea. There is another owner on here on a brand new coach that just discovered that his tail piece, the chrome part that points down, had fallen off and the heat was enough to burn through his chrome "mupflap" (sweep?).

The bedroom in our rig has it's own over the road air conditioner, unit is under the bed with ductwork out to the room itself.

I had the tape around the engine compartment insulation come off and is on my PDI list to have replaced. Check to see that your insulation in the engine compartment has not come loose or fallen.

The engine hatch area in ours gets warm but I would not describe it as HOT. I would also suggest checking the foil insulation !

Better check for exhaust leak no way should it be hot. On our previous Anthem it would get warm, but certainly nothing that could be described as hot.
I'm not sure on your Spartan, but on SOB they had a problem with a flex duct cracking causing a leak. Noel

That would be us, and I would describe the floor the same as Gary. We drove well over 400 miles and found the floor to be warm for several hours after we stopped. I would not say it was hot.....

X3 on the insulation attached to the floor inDer the rear bath area. The tape used for that install is prone to coming loose. Check through rear grill or bathroom floor hatch. I have reattached mine a couple times. Luckily I caught it prior to any damage.
