Battery Management

2019 Entegra Vision.
New owners.....looking to head off potential issues.
Whats the best control to keep my batteries in check and prevent that ugly dead coach situation.
No issues as of now but trying to be pro active.
Like to complete this the first time.....
I read there a few different systems out there, I start , etc.
Just want to get it done the first time....
Your input means a lot. Thanks.

Whenever you park the RV for more then 3 days/nights just disconnect the battery grounds. No phantom draws if the batteries aren't connected. Properly charged and serviced batteries will last a long long time just sitting, even in the cold as they are rated to -76F.

You can also perform a simple check with a DVM. Just plug in the RV and measure the voltage across both sets of batteries. You should be above 13 volt for each set. If only one set is above that voltage, add a Trik-L-Start to keep the other set charged.

You don't need to do anything besides connect the shore cord to the power post.

Everything in a 2019 RV will be built to automatically maintain your batteries and power your 12 and 120 volt stuff.

The only time you need to switch things off is if you are storing your RV without shore power.

Twinboat is absolutely correct. However, I would add one thing. Whenever you plug in to shore power or start up and run down the road, verify that your battery voltages are above 13! That means your charge sources are working. You can do this if there is a built in voltmeter or if you have one of those 4 LED tank monitors, the top LED is not 100% it means charging and the batteries are being charged by...whatever.

If you do this you will never be surprised with dead batteries.

Our Vision has 30Amp shore cord....
We don't have a 30Amp servive at our home as of now.
The motorhome is connected via 15 amp to maintain batteries.
Is this a good idea, to keep it plugged in?
