Best route to the factory?

We are headed to the factory for our end of warranty check. What is the best way to go from Florida ( big bend Tallahassee area)?

Tom, I-65 is the most direct route from you, but the last time I took it there was a lot of construction. I am headed up in July, I'll take I-75 this time but that is out of the way for you.

When are you going up? We'll be in Shipshewana probably the first or second week of July

We will be there the first 2 weeks of June. We can take 27 to I 75 (north of Atlanta) . I should have my route planned by now but life is busy. I still have to wire the tail lights on the new gmc(brakes and base plates are done) one more weekend to pack and wire

Just made that trip, went up via I75 to I24 over to I65 up through Indy. Came back via I80 east to I 75, then straight to Atlanta down I75.
My choice would be scoot over to I75 and go straight up to I80, then over to Indiana and down to wonderful Midddlebury :-))
Neither one is a great road trip, but I think I 75 is in a bit better shape than I65. JMHO of course....

Tom, We went west at Cincinnati, but I don't remember which route. I think I let the GPS do it's thing at Cinn. We went through Cinn on a Saturday and it wasn't bad. There was some construction, but nobody working on that weekend. You're lucky that you can miss Atlanta from your location.

I prefer Highway 20 into Middlebury instead of the turnpike. The last time on the TP it about beat me to death.

i like I-10 to 231 up thru Dothan thru Montgomery and I-65 all the way to Indianapolis to Carmel and then 31 to 20 and into Middlebury....I used this coming back to Tally and it wasn't a bad ride....I really don't a route that beats all the traffic...Chuck

I do Huckster's route on my snowbird trips each year, except I cut up to Ohio on I-71 at Louisville. I use a bypass around Montgomery, the east bypass around Nashville, and the east bypass around Cincy. Birmingham has some construction, but that is a good thing because they are fixing the deteriorated roads which have been rough for a long time.

Bob,to cut up on I-71 for Tom,will put him going east to then coming back west....this route is as straight a route as you can get and maybe other some construction around Nashville should flow pretty well
Came thru Nashville last year going to the Louisville game and it wasn't all that bad..can take Brieny Pky around Nashville and miss the construction...Chuck

HI Tom, We left Entegra in Nov. and used: 20 E to I 69 S to I 469 to US 30 E to I 75 S. Just reverse it ! We have gone I 65 and found rougher road conditions in our opinion.

Whenever we're done at LazyDays we will re-trace that same route North back to Indiana.

Fyi for I-65 travelers through Indianapolis:

Huge construction project has been on-going a couple yrs by now and NOT finished yet! Ramps at I-465 and I-65 on south side of Indy currently:

I-465 E Bnd TO S Bnd I-65 : ramp OPEN
I-465 FROM N Bnd I-65. : ramp CLOSED (*Ck INDOT for Alt )

FWIW - we are hoosiers....and we
a) avoid I-65 like the plague,
b) love I-75 when we head S via Cincy

Safe Travels to All

Thanks for that update Kathy. I am going to take Hayman's route up. I looked on the map and that is the way we came back last time. Compared to 65 it was nice, except Atlanta
