Beware of scams

We are trying to sell our coach and TWICE have had full price offers from scammers similar to the old Nigerian Prince scams. First one wanted our banking info so they could send the money. That one was pretty obvious but the latest was much more sophisticated using PayPal (which by the way has no limit on amount of transaction). This one involved using a driver to transport the coach to new owner. The rub came when "buyer" said the money was in his PayPal but the transport driver needed the money up front before scheduling the pickup. "Buyer" needed us to use Moneygram to pay driver up front and that fee was supposedly included in the PayPal payment as well as all costs of PayPal. Not so fast, Mr. "Buyer" we caught on. No fools are we!!

This is just a heads up for anyone else attempting to sell a coach. They are getting very good and all the emails and information looked very official. Made three calls to PayPal who was very helpful at helping us with this. Just glad we were smart enough not to bite and send a moneygram. The name of the transporter person was even in Elkhart so even that looked real.

Another scam I was reminded of today ...
A friend got an E-mail claiming to be from his E-mail provider
Something about issues with the account click here and log in

(HE did the right thing by the way)

Reminded me of one I got which claimed to be from Bank of America Security advising they were having problems accessing my account (I'll say they were) and click here and log in (So we can steal your log in) to help us...

Well. sad for them I could not comply... You see. I could not access that long (years prior) closed account either.

I also did the right thing.. Gave BoA security a good laugh I'm sure to see some phisher try to phish a closed account.

I have sold a few coaches. No in person buyer, NO SALE. Once the buyer has seen the coach, the transaction is handled between his bank and mine. I have owned all my MH's out right, but my banker certifies to the buyers bank that I have a clear title (car fax can do the same thing for a buyer) and the banks handle the wire transfer. There is no other way I will sell a MH. No bank or cash, NO SALE.
