Marc, I totally agree. But is seems every vendor right down to Cummins engine doesn't know what weather proof seals and plugs are for MH use. I asked Cummins when my ECM went nuts because of rain the same question. Their answer was this engine is designed to sit high in a Semi not down low with high water from highways. That was on a 350, so hope they have improved over the years, but my other rain related problems have continued. The generator plug on my 19 is still the wide open exposed plug that my 02 TS had, no improvements in 17 years.
Plug before weatherproofing on a 19...no excuse this kind of problem should continue for so many years. I have learned over the years, if I drive in heavy rain, I am going to have a problem sooner or later rain related, too many exposed cheap electrical connections. The docking lights and running light both had to be replaced on my Classic, the both filled with water and quit working.
