We stayed at the KOA in Nashville on Music City Drive. It was pricey but convenient and in good shape.
In Pigeon Forge/Sevierville area we stayed at River Plantation. Great folks and convenient to pretty much everything

If you find yourself on I-81 in VA, Endless Caverns RV Resort is a decent place to stay, big rig friendly and has reasonable rates. Pretty easy in and out, except don't be tempted to drive under the stone arch. Check our blog post for pics and more info.
Near the Smokies we stayed on the "quiet side" in Townssend, TN at the Tremont Outdoor Resort. Not a resort by any means but we really enjoyed our riverside site there. Check out our blog post for more info.
Near Nashville we really liked the Seven Points COE campground, but then again we tend to favor the serenity of state and federal parks in general. This was a pre-Entegra visit but our previous coach was a 40 footer and we had no issues maneuvering. No sewer here but some real nice sites and just $10 (half price) if you have a federal senior pass (passes cost $10 for life for any US citizen 62 or over - well worth it).

The March issue of the Family Motor Coaching magazine has a great article on the BRP. It has some great suggestions for things/places to see on the parkway and also notes the challenges of driving a large RV on the BRP. For example, the large number of tunnels in NC and clearance issues, the lowest being just over 10'.

Downtown Gatlinburg can be a little tight driving wise. Best to arrive not on the weekend. April will not be bad. The Smoky Mtn. Sugarlands Visitor Center just west of downtown has large RV parking. But the Gatlinburg Visitor Center north of Gatlinburg has " NO" large RV parking.
There are 10 national park campgrounds in the Smoky's, but only 2-3 for RV's. The one with the largest sites is on the southern side called Smokemont. Only a few miles from a very nice casino in Cherokee NC. We stayed at both Smokemont and Elkmount (By Sugarlands Visitor Center).

When in Shenandoah we like the Big Meadows National Park campground on top of the ridge off Skyline Drive. It is dry camping, but has water, pay showers and a dump station and many large sites. Driving on Skyline is a max of 35 MPH. with turn offs every mile or so.

Be sure to confirm your RV height. There are tunnels at South end that I could not get my 11' Class-C through.
