And there it is Thanks Mark, and to the others, I was pretty sure I was missing something very simple
Next time I have access to cable TV, I will turn off the antenna.

Mark, one more question. Would it be a true statement then that if you have the Winegard Antenna switch off, have scanned the cable channels, then the only tv reception would be from cable?
Or, if you went back into the tv menu, having previously scanned the over the air channels, selected Air, would those channels still be available without turning the Winegard back on.
I'm guessing that it would depend on the strength of the selected channel?

More than likely the off air channels will not be available as the feed from the antenna is interrupted at the amplifier switch. Marks explanation of the action of the switch is exactly right.

If you do not have an A/V distribution box, Properly called a Matrix switch,,, I call them a "Box of many buttons" (BOMB)
You should have a wall plate
It will have a 12 volt outlet
An antenna connection
A switch of some kind
and a LED
Turn the LED off using the switch.

Thank's Steve, that's what I was afraid of. In our previous coach, we could watch SAT, Cable, or Air utilizing the A/V switches on separate TV's. Looks like technology has limited me now to one source equals all TV's

That is correct. However, once your TV has scanned for all of the off-air channels it should retain those settings. So if you switch over to cable TV and just use the card of channel numbers from the RV park, you will be able to watch off-air channels without rescanning. You just can't watch them at the same time someone else is watching cable.

Satellite is available, over the air has to be reprogrammed. Noel
