Campgrounds on the way to Summerfest

On the way to the Summerfest, we will be traveling from Rapid City SD to Joliet IL. Probably will take I-90 to I-39 to I-80 into Joliet. Do you folks have any suggestions for decent campgrounds along the way? Big rig capable,of course.

Not a campground recommendation, but sightseeing recommendations: Badlands National Park is a must see. I've seen it before but I would definitely go there again if it was near my route. The Corn Palace in Mitchell, S.D is well worth a visit, and Wall Drug in Wall, S.D is a great place to see if you haven't been there. I think all of these have Big Rig friendly campgrounds nearby.

Google Galena Il as a historical point of interest.

Tom & Regina, We have all our stops already mapped from the South, which will not help you. We have mapped out campgrounds thru reviews and Walmarts with good overnite parking if needed. We used trip routing thru FMCA and campgrounds thru RVPARKREVIEWS.COM.

We use rvparkreviews all the time. Part of my planning process is to ask others for recommendations both here and on TRVN. I'm really surprised how few really nice campgrounds there are across SD, MN and WI. In many areas, KOAs are about the only choice you have. We aren't into the Walmart scene yet. Now if Baskin Robbins offered RV parking, that might be another story.
