Canadian Standards option
I've seen on the Entegra web site that they offer a Canadian Standards Option. Just wondering if anyone knows how much extra it is? Do they actually do something different to make the unit compliant to Canadian laws? If so what is it?

I think this website summarizes some of the issues. Mostly, they are elecrical and propane-related.
Registrar of Imported Vehicles - Modification and Inspection Requirements
You only need CSA compliance if you are licensing the vehicle in Canada. Not applicable for visiting with your coach.

Anyone know how much this option costs???? Just curious.

If you do a "Build and Price" on the Entegra website, the MSRP for the option on an Anthem is $712. Are you buying in the US and bringing it across the border? Personally, I found that I got a better deal buying one in Canada. And I have the attention of the local dealer. PM me if you want to talk!

Got the same deal in Canada at Sicard's as I could have elsewhere in the USA (deal in US dollars of course).

Thanks for the info. I wonder if they actually do change anything to make it CSA compliant. $712 seems a little high just for a sticker or rubber stamp...LOL
Yes, Roger Sicard offered me the same deal but with our dollar in the toilet at the moment I think I'll hold off a bit. The price of oil will rise and I'm sure it will slowly pull our dollar along with it.

Same price as U.S. dealers, in U.S. dollars. Too bad my pension cheques aren't in U.S. dollars too. LOL

Gary we bought in 2011 and the Canadian dollar was 5% in our favour. Hope to upgrade in 3-5 years time and hope indeed oil (and the C$)is up at that point. We actually paid less C$ than US$. I think we paid $600 back then for Cdn standards and ours is all electric. I think the drive running lights might have been a difference then but am not sure. As I recall we had to have the Canadian Standards sticker anyway. I don't know if Sicards was around then but I couldn't get a reasonable price from any Canadian dealer I called.

Awg 14 circuits will have 15Amp circuit breakers instead of 20A for the US, all CB will be marked CSA. Also on my Northwood trailer, all the blumbing pipes were marked CSA and made in Canada. Ground will not be bonded to neutral inside the RV (that might be the case in the us). You can import most us spec RV's to Canada (if the mfg is still in business) but you won't be able to resell it without making it code compliant for the electrical, which may require a fire Marshall inspection in some provinces.
