Not on an Aspire, but on my Anthem. I just read in the owners manual (pg 2-6 Entegra manual) that in a new coach that can happen for months in hot weather from the fumes in the adhesives used in construction. Our has also gone off from non-aerosol hair spray at the other end of the coach. I am giving it some time, but mine might be too sensitive.

Don't think you really need one in an all electric motorhome. Just sayin.

The fuse "might" get lost in mine, but the OP has an LP coach. I do remember from many years ago when the TS was new that having a fan blow across the CO detector while the MH was sat in hot weather did help. The false alarms only lasted for the first six months, maybe less.
Dave, thank for letting me know I am not the only one that has had false alarms and the repair for my unit.

It's not the gas range that is any problem in the Aspire. It's the generator exhaust and the Aqua Hot exhaust on all the models that is the biggest concern, mainly the generator. Depending on your location and winds you are relying on the gasket around the drivers side slides to keep any CO out. Not to mention there is far more chance to get CO from a diesel source than LP.

Has anyone found a better solutions for the CO detector in their Aspire. Ours goes off from time to time when we're just driving or tonight when parked with the HPs on. One of our dogs is terrified of high-pitched alarms and often has a seizure when this happens. For tonight, I disconnected the wiring behind the device (I know I could have just pulled the fuse but something else is going in that location ASAP).

Yep, had Entegra replace it before it went out of warranty. Now at 3 years it never gives false alarms. Once out of warranty they aren't that expensive, just replace it. Your coach should be aged enough now that the false alarms do not happen.

First, you may have a defective detector...they do go bad and when they do, the "siren" goes off continually (and pulling the fuse is the solution). You might discuss with Entegra CS and they'll likely send you a new one...plug and play. Mine went bad after three months in the new coach, but who knows how long these things set on a shelf at the originating manufacturer.

Carbon monoxide isn't the only thing that can set it off. Opened the refrigerator after a trip and a bottle of wine hit the floor and shattered. While I was mopping it up the CO detector went off. Took me opening doors and windows to get it to stop. I don't know what was louder, the detector or me, crying over the spilled wine.

Mine went off two weeks ago too. That is loud! If yours goes off a lot- I'd replace it.
