Just a reminder, when buying from a tire shop don't forget to insist you want recent date codes.

April 2016 while at Entegra we needed two new steers on our 2013 due to an alignment mistake (by Spartan). The tire shop Entegra used at the time (sorry don't remember who) put on "new" Michelins that turned out to have date codes more than two years old! Made some noise and those came off and we got 1 month old tires instead. Tire guy said "no one ever asked about that before". Doubt that, but I think if you don't ask you will likely get the oldest stuff they have.

Good point Rob. When I ordered the Michelins on my previous coach, they had to come out of another warehouse. The one close to the dealer, the newest was over 6 months old on the date code.

I called Entegra and they said the 315 wouldn't fit with a solid front axle. Has anybody else found the solution to this puzzle?

295's are not hard to find. Plus, I can easily get Toyo's from Les Schwab.

Not to sway you from Gy or Mich, but nice to have options.

Cheers!

Thanks for reminding me Rusty. Many years ago when TOYO was trying to come into the trucking industry, I had a set on a truck I drove. At that time Micheline was having some sidewall issues.

I'll start doing some research on those and see how other RVers have done with them.

AspireDoug that had the blow out on his Aspire just a couple of weeks ago replaced his steer tires with Toyo's. He seemed pleased with the ride.

I always liked the Mich. tires but I've also suffered from the sidewalls cracking as well. I'll look into the TOYO and see what happens. They're probably made at the same plant anyway.

I took the coach in for a front end alignment and it made a world of difference in the feel. Not bad, only $125 so I'll be doing this each year. I talked with a few different tire shops and nobody wants my GoodYear tires so I guess I'll try selling them myself. They all said my tires were is great shape but, only RVers use that size and they don't want to sit on them.

Next week I'll order the new tires. Ginny wants to stay with the Mich. because she doesn't trust the TOYO brand.

Last night I heard a video playing on her lap top and discovered she was watching a video of a NEW Cornerstone.......guess what she wants?
