Cockpit seats
Has anyone changed the drivers seat of their Anthem? I sat in a 2014 Cornerstone today and loved the drivers seat they are using...the back/lumbar support is wonderful. I liked it enough to check into it more to see if I can get the newer seat in our current color scheme. The cornerstone seat is an upgrade in my opinion. Or at least find out what style/model Entegra is using in the Cornerstone and see if I can get one for our Anthem.

My DW and I looked at a 2014 Cornerstone at LD while we were determining what we wanted. The DW didn't care for the cockpit seats. She felt that they where not that comfortable. When we went to the Tampa show, the new 2015 Cornerstone was there and they had changed the cockpit seats. The seemed more comfortable to both of us. Still had all the adjustments.
As for modifying an Anthem, it might be difficult to march up your interior colors because they are different manufacturers.

I agree. Several of us asked about those 2015 Cornerstone seats at the Tampa Show Owners meeting with Entegra CS and how they a lot better support.

Let us know what you find out...got to believe there are better seats out there. I thought the 2015 seats in the Cornerstone were very comfortable for driving...not as sure for lounging (which works with the current seats for DW). Unfortunately it is probably a 3-4K backlit. I'd be surprised if colors couldn't be matched as they can do anything with the ultra leather. Not sure they can backfit the A/C or heating that we saw in Tampa.

This might work and be less expensive. If my Anthem seat is not what is expected, I will also add one. It looks to be an easy solution. http://www.irv2.com/forums/f278/addi...rt-184076.html

If the driver's seat isn't comfortable for you, contact a custom seat shop and have them modify it to your liking. I ride a motorcycle and have never found a stock seat that is comfortable. For not a lot of money, a custom seat shop can modify your seat and add and/or remove padding that will customize it to fit your butt. My current bike had a seat that would force me to get off after about 250 miles. After I had the seat modified, I can now ride 1,000 or more miles only stopping for gas and bio needs. In case you are wondering, I'm 70 years old and retired. I don't have a MH right now but I am researching both Tiffin and Entegra.

Welcome to iRV2 and to the Entegra forum...know what you mean about bike seats...my first Harley, a Fayboy, felt like I had a 2X4 strapped across the middle of my butt. In coaches in the mid-tier, the seat is not the problem, rather lumbar support. They tend to put plush seats in for looks.
Take a good look at what Entegra offers...there are a number of former Tiffin owners on here now very happily driving Entegra coaches. regardless, good luck in your search...time to hit the road.

I'm planning on doing what you suggested. Like many I have a messed up back from many years sitting in airplanes. I know RV manufacturers try to put a nice lounging seat in the front but I work better on a firm sports car like supporting seat. I rarely lounge in the front chairs. I'm going to shop for a good seat guy who can mod at least the driver's chair and build up the foam with firmer more supporting back and bottom support. Perhaps add a lumbar support also. Then I'll try to get matching UltraLeather to re-cover. I've been looking at semi Truck seats, and there are some nice ones, but nothing that would resemble the other FlexSteel seat. Perhaps I can find the right one and get the UltraLeather for it. I don't think I really need an air ride seat on an air ride RV but I really want a more supporting seat. I have yet to see a catalog seat from Flexsteel or Villa that looks like what I want.
