The advice to call Spartan was spot on. They emailed a list of all filters, fluids and belts for the isx 600 hp. Happy to post it if anyone's interested

I think Ken is right. The list must be vin # specific. The part numbers I have for my unit differ ever so slightly.

Ken Looking at your list I don't see two items that I know are important because I had them fail on my coach. The ISX has a belt that turns the radiator fan off of the harmonic balance pulley. Looks like two belts but it is actually one belt. If that belt fails , (mine was shredded after 3000 miles) you lose the ability to cool down the motor. I was at spartan when it went and I still had to wait days for them to get the part in . Service advised me that is not an item any shop carries and more than likely they will have to order it thru Spartan in Michigan. They recommended I carry one on board. Part # 1919-AA3-004 Mechanical Fan belt.

The next item is the Air Dryer Filter. I had one that was failing and it was replaced. Just another item if you are on the side of the road and that is your only problem, the mechanic that shows up can swap you out and get you going back on the road.

your only other option would be get towed in, they order the part from Spartan and it takes a couple of days to get it.

Oh yeah FYI, fuel filter FF5686, I was advised I would be hard pressed to find a Cummins dealer that carries that filter in stock while touring the country. Once again, if you have it on board, your fix is quick.

I totally agree with Dusty56. I took my lowly 450 Cummins list to my local NAPA store to find out what part were readily available nationwide from NAPA. My secondary fuel filter Is a new Cummins part only...a primary filter is a must anyhow, Don't take chances on normal wear parts, especially if they cannot be bought in an emergency. I have one storage tub that is nothing but emergency spare parts.

I carry a carry a complete set of oil filters and fuel filters for the Genny and coach. On a previous motorhome they made the difference of us getting to our destination and or home for Christmas. My intent on carrying them was for dire emergencies but it seems on about 50% of the routine servicing I'm the only guy with the correct parts. I reorder immediately when returning home. There's a lot of Speedco's and Cummins shops out there that don't carry all the parts for RVs.

Everybody has oil but it's harder to find the belts and filters you need or SCA coolant when you breakdown on a Sunday night in the rain....I know. You can't carry everything. I for example don't carry a spare tire, but these other parts are portable.

Dave, can you post the part # for the genny filter please? Are there any other generator spare parts? Proper coolant, constant tension hose clamps I know, anything else?

Ken

I'm not sure if the Cornerstone has the same Genny as the Anthem. My genny is the 12.5 KW. The model is 125HDHCB.

The oil filter is: Onan 122-0893 or equiv WIX 51307
Fuel filter is: Onan 149-2513 or equiv WIX33063
The air filter is: Onan 140-3071 or equiv WIX 46449
Use SAE 15W-40 (6 qts)
The engine is made by Kubota and sometimes the parts places substitue Kubota parts.

The first time I removed the oil drain plug it was very tight, maybe loctite on. I used a 2 ft cheater bar and a 1/2 inch 6 point 23mm socket. The tools needed for service are very basic. There are some good YouTube videos you can search about how to service the genny. The oil is changed at 250 hrs/12 mo. Also search YouTube about how to clean spark arrestor (500 hrs/2 yrs).

Thanks for the filter updates Dave, I was lacking the fuel and air filters for my list. Cummins did have Fleetguard oil filters for the genny listed under Kabota and they were less than NAPA.

The Kabota model number for parts is a Kabota D-1503 which is handy for NAPA and Cummins as well. If you give Cummins the Onan model number the Onan oil filter is $14.00. If you give them the Kabota model number the Fleetguard filter is $4.00 The Kabota engine is used in small tractors and ditch diggers, the Fleetguard filters are built for a dirty environment.
