Cost Effective Florida Deeded RV Lot

While there are many very fancy owner owned RV places in Florida, I am interested in something less than top tier. My motivation is to own a minimal expensive lot with low maintenance fees that I can use it for short times but have a legal Florida residence for tax purposes.

My target area is Central Florida.

Any suggestions?

Wilderness RV Resort at Silver Springs is another alternative. Wilderness and Florida Grande are owned by the same folks I believe. I would definitely recommend a trial visit first. Wilderness has the advantage of being reasonable near other amenities while Florida Grande is pretty far from "civilization" is the story we heard. But if all you want is the address it may not matter.

FYI---- I'm assuming you know to be a FL. resident you have to be there 6 months and 1 day. I know because I did it for tax purposes also.

Thanks Gary. I was recently in an RV Park in NC where there were 2 Tuscanys and I checked to see if it was you. Maybe another time. I will check on Florida Grande and see if it is too Grand for my need.

Camp Mack east of Lake Wales is kind of a nothing fish camp RV park. They were selling lots a few years back as a friend of mine bought one, cheap. From the web site name they may have changed hands and may not be selling lots anymore. However there might be some of the earlier owners wanting to sell as cheap as they paid for them. Worth a call https://guyharveycampmack.com/

I did not know that and used to be a FL resident! Got my FL drivers license less than a month after I moved there. I will do further checking, especially on the definition of “there.” Seems to me that for those of use who are mobile, as long as we have a fixed address we own we can be there in November, Jan, Feb, and Apr but be traveling between. Thanks for giving me something to consider and hopefully someone else will provide details.

Not to register a vehicle. Florida will take license tax fees the day you close on your lot. Voting or qualify for no state income tax is different, that's six months, but registering a MH on your new purchased lot can be done on day one. Totally legal to be a resident in one state and have a vacation RV or home in FL. If it wasn't FL would not have a tax base. Probably 1/2 of our properties including vehicles are owned by out of states residents and are not re-taxed in there home states.
BTW, you do not have to change your drivers licenses to register a MH in FL. That is another internet myth. All FL requires is an address to send your renewal fees in FL.

we go to the Winter Garden area and there isn't alot of options. We wish they would put in a nice resort in the clermont/WG area. We have family there, close to restaurants and good cycling. we thought of looking at Florida grande, it is to far out for us. We may end up buying a house down there since the options are limited.
