Mike
I was told the TPMS sensors are inside the tires.... but I could not go to court and testify that that is truth. More data needed.

I read about the TPMS system they are using and it appears to use the internal sensors on sort of a strap inside the wheel. I’m curious to know how many years they will work. On a Auto you generally end up buying new tires after a few years and should change the batteries. If you are on the right side of luck, in a RV, you hopefully don’t have to think about tires for at least 5 years.
On my TST system I have to either change batteries or fiddle with one every couple of years. Hopefully the internal ones use bigger, better batteries and are less maintenance. I’m actually surprised it’s taken Entegra so many years before they offered a TPMS. This is a good change, not a “bling”.

TPMS system they are using is Valor, it is an internal sensor attached to the rim (not sure how). System will have the ability to add your toad also though they are not sure of the details on that yet.
I remember someone at the Tampa show, during the suggestion session with Pat asking about a system being pre installed and suggesting Valor. Said they had researched and this system was the best.

I was told by Ted Cook that it is in fact the Valor system Motorhomes and Towable RV/Trailers | Valor TPMS
The dash display is set up for toads up to 10 tire trailers. We do have to purchase the sensors and they are mounted inside of the tires.

If they’re inside the tires, I don’t believe you can use anything but lead weights on the outside of the wheels for balancing.
The ciramic beads, silica sand or powders will effect the sensors

Any idea how that works for toads that already have an internal TPMS?

I do not Vance, but I will probably call Valor this week. So many question have come to mind on the drive home that I just didn't think of while at the show. This being one of them.

According to the Valor website, the TPMS sensor batteries on a motorhome tire will last “5-7 years”. Sounds reasonable.
It appears to me to run the TPMS system on your toad you’d have to buy 4 of their rim mounted sensors and demount/remount your car tires, maybe rebalance, to read the toad pressures.

Thanks Dave, that good enough for me. I am sure they have worked through the frequency of factory installed TPMS of the auto manufactures.

It really can't. There is no standard interface for tire pressure sensors; each manufacturer does its own thing.
