Dirt Devil, Hell Trouble
System runs and we have suction all the way from unit in basement to port under the fridge in coach. If we open the door where you would install the vac hose, we have suction there. When we turn on the sweep in dust trap, motor comes on but no suction for sweep option.
After talking to Jacob at CS, he said I should try and get something in the trap and twist it up to get into hose to see if I can unblock it, maybe use an airgun before we attempt to remove grill at bottom of fridge, then the finished wood panel under that which holds the hose ports.
After hanging up phone from him, I think it would be better to attempt to move a clog out via vacuum vs. air gun forcing in which could continue the clog or even make it worse. That is all info for if it is a clogged hose.
I wanted to attach something to my shopvac which takes the hose att. down to the size of a big straw. That will also increase my suction ability. If it pulls the debris out, I am done and do not have to take apart the above-mentioned parts.
The final question is has any Entegra owner lost suction at the sweep door? I guess I could also ask any guest that has this central vac system also?
Ron.

It seems to me that the other alternative is there are two vacuum lines to the back of the floor attachment and one might be loose. Don't know how you would check that. Hard to believe that it would clog unless you have dogs with a lot of shedding that you sweep up.

I agree with Dave. If the suction line behind the panel or along the way came loose the contact switch would still turn the unit on but no suction. I'd start tracing those suction lines. As I recall those hoses are just secured with simple hose clamps.

My main hose was not connected from the factory. Motor would come on, but no suction. On my RBQ it is easy to access from the long vertical panel, about 8 screws, in the PS compartment in front of the rear wheels.

Some of the hose connections are just AC tape. Mine was knocked off by a repairman replacing the transfer switch and was a bear to get reconnected.

Split?
I just can't see where the one hose splits. There is one hose only going all the way up to the ports. Following it in every bay in the basement all the way up to the coach I just don't see a second hose or where it splits. When I pull the trap out onto the floor as far as it goes until wire contacts hit and prevent pulling it out further, I see the white hose is still connected.

Ron, the split in my hose was behind the panel described earlier.

My dirt devil central vac sweep trap was not clogged. If you can see in this picture the separated hose is sitting on the right and it is supposed to be attached to the top of the fitting on the left. No aluminum tape was ever applied to either part. According to Jacob at customer service, fridge must be pulled to gain access.

Not to doubt Jacob, he knows his stuff! But it seems logical that there should be a panel in a basement compartment to gain access. Clogs and such do have to be cleared at times and pulling a fridge to do that doesn't seem right. Where does the hose run in the basement before it goes up to the outlet?

Mine worked earlier today and now nothing. Can't find the fuse anywhere. Does anyone know where the fuse is located?

On our Aspire the central vac is fused by the "Basement" breaker in the AC panel over the driver seat.

Alabama John,
I am spinning wheels right now on this project waiting 2 to 3 weeks for wood from Entegra's vendor. Pulling the fridge at this point would be easy. However; I want to have access under there in the future without pulling refer. So, a matching removable smaller panel is where I am at with this issue. Door will be made from 3/4 finished stock that will be shaved down and I will also use a piece of trim similar to what is around bathroom door
Ron.
