Dish Satellite hook ups 2013 Aspire

I have set the DIP switches in the dome to the dish setting... Installed a UHF dish remote control setup... Used an HDMI cord from the Sat. output to the input on the coach... Used a coaxial cable from the Sat receiver to the LMB 1 input on the the coach....Turned the Winegard in motion dish on.... Nothing.... Selected SAT on the main TV Anyone have any ideas? Les

On your grey entertainment center, push the button for satellite to get it on.

On your remote, then, hit source, and move cursor to HDMI or HDMI/DVI (tech go one one way and one the other). Then turn your dish receiver on.

If that doesn't do it...don't know, but send me a PM as I've helped others get their stuff up and I'll give you a phone call.

I have Dish in my Aspire and here's what I did.

1. Set dip switches for Dish on the dome
2. Follow the instructions first time on the document called "Dish Receiver setup for Roadtrip antennas"
3. Turn on the motion control...wait 5-6 mins until you hear it stop seeking
4. Run Setup on the dish menu. Use transponder 119 or 110 if you don't know which one to see reception.
5. You may need to physically unplug the Dish Receiver and replug after 10 secs.
6. If you still have no reception call the help line for Dish for RVs at 800-309-0370. Avoid using the "Main" Dish phone number. They are clueless about RV needs.

Fear not. After the initial pain getting your unit to work it works pretty well. I probably do the worst thing because I stop and restart my Dish service (still working a job).

If you leave the service continuous the normal setup is this..
1. Turn on dome...wait 5-6 mins until seeking stops
2. Turn on SAT receiver
3. Turn on TV
4. Check video switchbox set for SAT
5. Open beer

When I stop and start service I do the first two then I usually have to call Dish RV service and get them to send a "reset" signal. You can also do this by yourself by calling Dish and following a voice prompt system.

Thanks for the help !....After a couple of switch checks, and a reset, selecting HDMI2 amd I am on to step 5 !!! Thanks guys.....:-).....Les

Yep...and never got the original 1-4 done...that's my maintenance approach

Because otherwise I'd screw it up...best not to start to begin with and enjoy a beer.

The problem with that rational is that after a beer or 3, I can come up with some really stupid things to try!!

Even when I talk about 3 or higher I get sort of...confused....
