Thanks Vince, glad to hear that report. I have not used mine on the road yet, but after upgrading the S&B I was sold on the new DISH equipment.

Sounds like a Hopper maybe overkill and a Wally the way to go. We rarely watch TV in the bedroom or outside. All that's ever been on the front TV is GPS.

The Wally is the same as the 211, a single tuner. Whoever said they can watch one channel and record another must have two receivers.

Karen and I like the same shows, even a football game so a single receiver works for us. We have the Hopper at home, but would never use the features in the MH. Some enjoy having everything they have at home, but like you, the Hopper is overkill for us on the road. Besides everything is summer reruns when we travel.

Actually I have been watching one show and recording another (or recording two shows at one time) with my 211k for several years. One caveat though is that one of the channels must be coming in on the OTA connection. Has worked well for us, even with only ONE receiver!

That makes sense as you cannot receive 2 sat signals on a 211, recored OTA and watch Sat does work. We retired the 211K in the S&B years ago to the MH to upgrade to a 722 in the S&B where you could watch one and record one on satellite

With the new Hopper system, you can get a "Hopper Go" https://www.mydish.com/hoppergo put 100 hours of recording on the box and play your recording on the Wally in the MH. Might work on the 211 as well.

Does the Wally supply power that is needed to run a Tailgater as the 211 does?

Dish Anywhere on my phone and iPad, Chromecast gets it to a TV. Haven't tried it in the MH yet but it sure works well when staying at hotels. Should I expect to run into problems using it in the coach? We'll be heading out soon - guess I better try it.

Thanks for the information. I had pretty much written off the Wally because someone on another forum told me that.

Linda, if you get a change to try the Chromcast in the next couple of days, let me know how that works. That would be perfect for no satellite reception areas now that we have the Mobley.

Would you happen to have a website where this is explained? I am still getting info to the contrary indicating all 3 satellites must be locked in for the Wally to work. I would really appreciate it.
Thanks!

I have never been able to lock onto all three satellites. It is a crapshoot between 119 and 129 but never 110. I had to setup the dip switches to eastern arc to lock onto 72 to receive HD channels. I have the 211K receivers.
