Does your dishwasher actually dry the dishes?

My wife wanted me to find our if others experience wet dishes at the end of the full normal cycle...not set on energy saving...just a normal full cycle?

Our dishes and silverware always have lots of moisture...to the point that everything has to be hand dried.

What is your experience?

Pat, we run ours at bedtime. We use the FAST cycle and the dishes are always clean and dry the next morning.

Hope that helps,Brian

We run ours at bedtime on normal cycle. The glass/ceramic dishes are dried pretty good, but the plastic stuff not so much.

At the end of the cycle, we crack open the door to
allow air to circulate in the machine. After a few
hours, everything is pretty much dry.

DW says ours are moist at the end of the cycle and she just leaves the door cracked open about an inch and there dry in about 1/2 hr. This is in a low humidity area where we usually hang out.

I run ours most every night we spend in the coach and I am often surprised at how dry the dishes are. It does a better job of drying the dishes than our Viking "commercial" dish washer at home.

One thing critical to good drying performance is to keep the rinse additive reservoir full all the time. The rinse additive helps the water to sheet off rather than puddling or forming drops that are harder to dry. If your dishes are not dry I would guess the rinse additive needs replenishing or is possibly not dispensing correctly.

Ours are always dry also. Are you running the aquahot when you run the dishwasher? Hot water rinse should dry everything quicker. At least that's always been my experience.

Mine are usually dry as well. Occasionally, the silverware has a bit of water, but I also don't empty it immediately after finishing.

The Rinse additive is very important. When we run low/out the dishes don't come out dry, fill it back up and they are dry.

Almost always completeey dry (ceramic) but maybe not oddly positioned plastic vessels or tools. And we virtually never use the full cycle. Someone previously mentioned the Fast cycle and I thought I would try it, and it was as good or better than the full cycle.

Now, we virtually clean the dishes of all material that can be removed before putting them in the dishwasher, but I am the dishwasher guy and I am very pleased with what it does.
